    Overview

    The HXGN15-12 type unit-type AC metal-enclosed ring-main switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the ring main unit) is a new-generation high-voltage electrical product that we have independently designed and developed by introducing advanced foreign technologies and in accordance with the requirements for rural power grid and urban grid renovation in China. All its technical performance indicators comply with IEC 62271-200:2003 and GB 3906 standards. 
    The main switch, operating mechanism, and components of the ring-main unit are either original ABB parts or SFL-12/24 switchgear assembled domestically from imported components; alternatively, upon customer request, it can be equipped with original ABB HAD/US-type SF6 circuit breakers or VD4-S vacuum circuit breakers. The operating modes are manual and electric. The cabinet is fabricated by riveting after CNC machining, achieving an IP3X protection rating and incorporating reliable mechanical interlocks and anti-misoperation features. This product boasts such outstanding characteristics as compact size, light weight, aesthetically pleasing appearance, simple operation, long service life, high performance parameters, zero pollution, and minimal maintenance. The HXGN15-12 modular AC metal-enclosed ring-main switchgear is designed for 50 Hz, 12 kV power networks, serving to receive and distribute electrical energy. The main switch inside the cabinet is an SF6 switch.

    Structural Features

    Cabinet Structure 
    ◆ The ring main unit cabinet is fabricated by riveting 2-mm-thick aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets (or cold-rolled steel sheets with powder coating), and is equipped with two pressure-relief vents: one in the cable compartment and the other in the load switch/busbar compartment. This design maximizes the safety and reliability of both installation and operation. 
    ◆ Individual compartment chambers 
    ◇ Busbar Room: 
    The busbar compartment is located at the top of the cabinet and connects adjacent switchgear cabinets. 
    ◇ The load switch is a standalone unit, internally filled with SF6 gas. 
    ◇ Cable Room 
    Approximately 75% of the space is allocated for cable connections, fuses, earthing switches, and the installation of CTs and PTs. 
    ◇ Institutional Small Rooms and Interlocks 
    The cubicle comprises an operating mechanism, interlocking devices, position indicators, auxiliary contacts, trip coils, live-indicator displays, and interlocks. 
    ◇ Relay Box 
    The relay box is mounted on the top of the cabinet and is optional. The compartment is used to house special equipment such as instruments, relays, and motor units. 
    ◇ Circuit Breaker Room 
    A circuit breaker (SF6 or vacuum) can be installed below the load switch. 
    ◆ Pressure Release 
    ◇ Release the pressure above 
    The above is used to relieve the gas pressure generated during internal arc faults in the busbar and load switch compartments. 
    ◇ Pressure relief below 
    The following is used to relieve the gas pressure generated during an internal arc fault in the cable compartment.
