    The HXGN17-12 box-type, fixed, AC metal-enclosed switchgear (commonly referred to as a ring main unit) is a new type of high-voltage switchgear manufactured to meet the needs of urban power grid renovation and construction. In power supply systems, it is used for switching load currents and short-circuit currents, as well as for making and breaking short-circuit currents. This ring main unit is equipped with FZRN25 and FZRN21 vacuum load switches, and its operating mechanism is a spring-operated type that can be operated either manually or electrically. The earthing switch and isolating disconnectors are fitted with manual operating mechanisms. The ring main unit features strong system integration, compact dimensions, and no risk of combustion or explosion, while also providing reliable “five-protection” functions. 
    This ring main unit complies with the relevant provisions of GB 3906 “3–35 kV AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear” and IEC 60420 “High-Voltage AC Load Switch-Fuse Combination Apparatus.”
