    KYN28-24 Armored Withdrawable AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear (hereinafter referred to as “switchgear”) is suitable for indoor three-phase power systems with a frequency of 50/60 Hz and a rated voltage of 24 kV. It is primarily used in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and high-rise buildings for receiving and distributing electrical energy, as well as for circuit control, protection, and monitoring. 
    The KYN28-24 switchgear is equipped with a comprehensive suite of interlocks to prevent misoperations, including interlocks that prohibit the movement of the handcart under load, prevent the grounding switch from being closed while the circuit breaker is in the closed position, prevent the grounding switch from being closed when the system is energized, and prevent unauthorized entry into energized compartments. The switchgear is configured with high-performance VS1 and VN2 series center-mounted high-voltage AC vacuum circuit breakers as well as solid-sealed vacuum switches. Its secondary control circuit incorporates advanced and reliable control and protection devices. The busbars are insulated using heat-shrinkable materials or epoxy coating, with optimized electrode geometry and a compact cabinet structure. As a result, this switchgear is a technologically advanced, stable-performing, reasonably designed, easy-to-use, safe, and reliable distribution device.

    Model Meaning

    Environmental conditions

    ◆ Environmental conditions: maximum temperature +40°C, minimum temperature -15°C, with the 24-hour average not exceeding 35°C; 
    ◆ The temperature conditions are as follows: the daily average relative humidity shall not exceed 95%; the monthly average relative humidity shall not exceed 90%; the daily average water vapor pressure shall not exceed 2.2 kPa; and the monthly average water vapor pressure shall not exceed 1.8 kPa. 
    ◆ Altitude not exceeding 1000 m; 
    ◆ The surrounding air is not significantly contaminated by dust, smoke, corrosive or flammable gases, vapors, or salt spray; 
    ◆ Vibrations or ground motions originating from outside the switchgear and control equipment may be disregarded; 
    ◆ The amplitude of electromagnetic interference induced in the secondary system shall not exceed 1.6 kV.

    Terms of Use

    When the equipment is operated under normal ambient conditions as specified in GB/T 11022, the manufacturer and the user may negotiate and reach an agreement on special operating conditions that exceed the normal operating limits. To prevent condensation, the switchgear is equipped with a heater, which shall be energized whenever the switchgear is in standby mode. During normal operation, attention should also be paid to ensuring that the heater is properly energized.
